Family dynamics are very different for each one of us, most people can agree creating positive family moments makes the best memories. As we reflect back on our lives we watch a kaleidoscope of experiences we shared with our loved ones.
What kid doesn’t like to make a mess? We made a volcano with a few household kitchen items and kept the mess to a minimum because we did this all outside. We learned a how chemicals react and had a great time experimenting with this fun science project. A few things you will need is; vinegar, baking soda, dish soap, water, two solo cups, tape and different colored kid safe paint.
First, tape the two solo cups together and cut a small hole on the top. Prepare your ingredients by pre-measuring everything and separate cups. We took our supplies outside and dug a small hole and built it up to look like a real volcano.
After you have achieved a realistic looking volcano pour the baking soda in the hole, next goes in the water. We found that mixing the paint and with the vinegar together worked out better. Finally pour the vinegar inside and watch the contents explode in a colorful bubbly irruption. You can do this multiple times and even leave your volcano in the yard as is for the next time you want to make a volcano.
